It's been a few years since we visited this place and it's still one of the coziest, and most consistent traditional restaurants on Ventura. Tasty food, great service. Sit in the outer areas for a quiet, romantic setting as inside while cozy gets louder when busy. Highly recommend.
Wowwww this spot knocks it out of the park! I have been driving past Le Petit for so long! Visiting the Great Greek (also amazing) right next door for so long and I feel like I should have went here sooner!! This place has it all! Atmosphere, kind folks, delicious food, and a variety of cocktails! I had the lobster crepes after trying to decide what to have for so long since everything looks incredible and my wife had the sage pumpkin ravioli. These two dishes were top notch flavorful without paying top notch dollar. I love that the crepes came with a side salad!! Delicious salad dressing!! Fantastic wine!! And to end the fantastic experience, we had macarons to go that were delectable!! The atmosphere here is small, romantic, old cute Italian / French restaurant feel. The Christmas decorations are up and they're so cute! The staff was super friendly and the food came out so fast! Everything here was next level. We can't wait to go back to Le Petit again!!
The food is absolutely genuine French food, and spectacular and delicious.. be sure to have their omelette with Boursin cheese..
Wow. I had no idea what an amazing little restaurant Le Petit is! It was like we walked into a bistro in Paris! We came here for my parent's 64th anniversary and from the moment we arrived, we were treated with such care. Jay seated us at a cozy booth, and Petr, our waiter, was the right balance of attentive and patient. It took awhile for my Mom to decide as the menu was packed with a variety of choices. We started with proper cocktails - martinis and gimlets. Total perfection! The food was beyond delicious! We had a tasty fig salad, lamb chops cooked perfectly, a hanger steak and sea bass. Everything was womderful. The chocolate souffle was sublime. And they were so sweet to bring an special dessert for my parents. We will be back! This place is too good not to experience again and again!
Food service and ambiance is perfect! The onion soup is the best! Had the pumpkin raviolis and they were it was so delicious and flavorful !! Can't wait to go back
Absolutely charming French restaurant that will transport you to another place and another time. Very much reminicent of petite restaurants in Paris during the '80's.... old world charm and flare. My first time here was 30 years ago and this establishment is sailing forward strong. They are doing many things right. Classic French cuisine with some modern California cuisine fusion and Italian touches served here. Great wine selection; my recommendation is to order a bottle, sit back and take in this classic French bistro ambiance. For appetizers we ordered the escargot; it was not the best I have had, but acceptable. The Fig and Burrata salad was beautiful and delicious. The home run was our lobster crepe served with a side a salad. Beautiful, decadent and absolutely delicious, you must try! We finished the night with a classic chocolate souflet served with vanilla ice cream, whip cream, chocolate and vanilla sauce. There are many items to choose from and sure to please all pallets.
I'm surprised it took me this long to find this place, but Le Petit Restaurant is an absolute gem for French cuisine lovers! From the moment we walked in, I was treated to impeccable service and a warm, inviting ambiance. I started with the caviar service and French onion soup. The soup was delightfully light, and the cheese really tied it all together perfectly. Both were outstanding and set the tone for the rest of the meal. For the main course, I indulged in the two specials of the night. The seasonal soft-shelled crab was exquisite, and the veal sweetbreads were prepared to perfection. Each dish exemplified classic French culinary artistry. Every aspect of my dining experience was top-notch. I will definitely be returning to savor more of what Le Petit Restaurant has to offer!
Ive lived in this neighborhood for abt 3 months now, and so everything is new having moved over from Venice Beach. My favvvvv thing to do on dates is walk the neighborhood and dine at adjacent restaurants. My bf was stationed in Paris on US military orders long before we met but he loves all things French this restaurant included and it did NOT disappoint. It's elegant, cozy, and very romantic. The mushroom ravioli was absolutely fabulous, and so was the crème brûlée and berry fruits we ordered on the side. It slipped my mind to take photos of our dinner. I'll remember next time. The service was wonderful and thorough. The waiter was well-informed and amicable. Would love to return at a later time and explore more of the menu options. Such a romantic evening date-night experience, thank you.
Second time being here, I can see this being our typical stop on my trip to LA. The food is amazing the beet salad was fresh the goat cheese was fresh. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly and seasoned nicely The soufflé was awesome BUT it is piping hot so just be warned. The service is paced very well not rushed and not too laxed either. Better than what you would get in Paris. The place would remind you if you have been to Paris cafe.
